Three gowns worth keeping an open mind for at The Blushing Bride Boutique in Frisco, Texas.
Sometimes the dress a bride falls in love with is the one she nearly left on the hanger.
Maybe the neckline wasn’t what she pictured. The lace felt different from the photographs she had saved. Or the skirt looked fuller than she thought she wanted.
Then she tried it on—and something changed.
That is one of my favorite parts of helping brides discover their wedding dress. Inspiration gives us a place to begin, but there is so much a photograph cannot tell you. How a gown frames your face, how the fabric moves, and how you feel standing in it are things you discover in person.
These three gowns offer beautiful reasons to leave room for a surprise.
Devotion by Wona Concept: For the bride who thinks a ballgown might be too much

Devotion is a mikado and soft lace ballgown silhouette with built up lace illusion top and sleeves, a dropped waist and full mikado skirt.
If you have been picturing a simple dress or wondering whether a ballgown belongs at your venue, Devotion deserves a moment in the fitting room.
Its sweetheart neckline and structured corset bodice combine with lace detailing and illusion sleeves for a look that feels romantic and dressed for the occasion. The ballgown silhouette gives the design a beautiful sense of presence.
What I would encourage you to discover is how you feel in that fullness. You may find that the silhouette you thought would overwhelm you is the very thing you love.
And if your hesitation is about your venue, give yourself permission to explore it anyway. A garden, coastal setting, or intimate celebration can all be the backdrop for a ballgown. Most of us rarely have the opportunity to wear something this formal. Why not consider it for your wedding day?
Ozari by Madi Lane: For the bride who hasn’t pictured herself in floral lace

Ozari by Madi Lane draws inspiration from the Calla Lilly flower which are significant to brides because they symbolize innocence, devotion and marital bliss.
If floral lace has never been part of your vision, Ozari might introduce you to a different way of wearing it.
Inspired by the calla lily, this gown pairs expressive botanical embroidery with a strapless scoop neckline, a softly rounded Basque waist, and an airy A-line tulle skirt. Pleated tulle and curved corset detailing give the bodice definition, while the floral placement brings movement through the design.
There is something lovely about seeing these elements together on the body. You can appreciate the shape of the neckline, the definition at the waist, and the way the skirt moves as you walk.
For the bride who wants romance but is still discovering what that means to her, Ozari is a beautiful gown to explore.
Jazz by Wona Atelier: For the bride who loves both a fitted silhouette and a dramatic entrance

Jazz by Wona Atelier features delicate 3 dimensional florals which cascade down this lovely bridal masterpiece that takes nearly 75-95 hours to design and create.
You may find yourself saving fitted gowns one day and full skirts the next. Jazz gives you a reason to explore both feelings.
Its fitted sheath silhouette features a strapless lace bodice with sparkle and dimensional floral details. Chantilly lace continues through the skirt, while a tulle overskirt with floral appliqués adds volume and a different expression of the look.
During your appointment, take a moment to notice which elements draw you in. Is it the shape of the fitted gown? The texture of the lace? The added fullness of the overskirt?
Seeing those details together can help you understand what you want from your bridal look—and which part makes you feel most like yourself.
Let your appointment be a discovery
You do not need to arrive with your final choice already figured out.
Bring the photographs you love. Tell us what you feel comfortable wearing and what you are curious about. Share the details you keep returning to—and the ones you are unsure about.
Then leave a little room for your consultant to introduce something unexpected. Trying a different silhouette or fabric can confirm your original vision, or it can open the door to something you hadn’t imagined.
That is the joy of the appointment: having the time, space, and guidance to discover what feels right.
